These names brought to you by EELC 001 and EELC 121 as part of their video-homework assignment: "Tell how you chose your English name."
- Kenley because it sounds like "Kenny" but is less popular
- Kevin, Kelvin, and Calvin (though they are all pronounced the same way by my students)
- Kitson because it is like the Chinese name "Kit" and you can just add "son" to make an English name (e.g. "Johnson") - so true!
- Rufus because I'm tired of having the same name as everyone else.
- Winnie because I like "Winnie the Pooh."
- Virginia because my English teacher gave me this name. But as it has 4 syllables, it's difficult for some people to pronounce. So you can just call me "Virgin." (Uh, let's go for "Ginny"). :)
- Ken because he's Barbie's boyfriend, so it's easy to remember.
