The U-curve
So I lived in Beijing for two years and can say I did go through the typical stages of culture shock (http://www.utoronto.ca/safety.abroad/go_global_guide_shock.html), as seen above, while living there. But I guess I wasn't expecting it to hit so hard again...yesterday was a bit of a low day for me...I think I was somewhere between anxiety and rejection - and it's only been two months! Ah, well. Today is better. Just think, I have "adjustment" to look forward to. :)
